Gretas Guns was founded in 1994 by Chris Biller, a 29-year veteran of the Los Angeles Police Department. Chris, a firearms enthusiast, noticed a gap in the market and decided to create his own store. He named it after his Rottweiler, Greta. Starting in a small strip mall, Chris eventually purchased a property across town and built his dream store. As the business grew, Chris began to step back and enjoy his retirement. In 2012, he hired Mike Iley as an entry-level salesman. Over the next 7 years, Mike’s popularity and role within the company increased. In 2019, Mike became General Manager, taking full control of operations. Tragically, Chris passed away in July 2021, leaving the business to Mike. Under Mike’s leadership, Gretas Guns has exceeded expectations and continued to grow. He has transformed the store to prioritize customer satisfaction and created a welcoming experience with a dedicated team.
